We have stayed at and reviewed this hotel several times which tells its own story. We use it before and after a ferry sailing from Portsmouth because we live in the North of England. Good location, pleasant grounds, off road parking, very nice people, comfortable rooms and the Moldy Fig restaurant has a good bar, local beers and the food is excellent in the evening. We will return. Good breakfast too.
Offering a garden and garden view, Big Private Room In Town Centre is set in Eastleigh, 8.6 km from Southampton Guildhall and 10 km from Southampton Cruise Terminal.
Overlooking East Park, Leonardo Hotel Southampton has a 24-hour reception and a modern restaurant. The hotel is located in Southampton centre, less than a mile from Southampton Central Railway...

Clean and comfortable room with a great bathroom. Good breakfast with dog friendly facilities. Good place to walk out dog.
All of the staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful.
In Southampton’s centre, Novotel looks over the port and is just 400 metres from the train station. This smoke-free hotel features a restaurant and an indoor swimming pool and fitness centre.
Lovely place, plenty to see and do. Close to Winchester and Southampton by road and train. Not to crowded good variety of shops and pubs with plenty of places to eat as well. Bournemouth and Poole aren't so far away either.
We visited to see a friend, but most things are either in a short car ride or walking distance. We ate in the bar at the hotel, and the Beefeater along the Bournemouth Road which is reasonable. The M3 junction is along Leigh Road at the top end of town, easily accessible. There is a good bus service and roads are easy to traverse.
There is a Wetherspoons opposite the station in Eastleigh, but it does get very busy. Plenty of other places to eat, but booking is advisable, the Harvester on top of the Swan centre is lovely, but definitely needs booking.

The staff and facilities were ok but warnings that a lot of children were in the hotel should be given. Definitely a families break hotel not for quick visits.
Parking should not be charged.
Breakfast should be included in the price.

Sadly greeted by a very uninterested moody looking person to see us in which dampened our excitement immediately . Then to find our room with hairs in the bed and sky tv promised as per website and previous visit to another sister hotel yet no proper sky just a few channels. Apart from that good room and very comfy.

We found Eastleigh a great location as a base for visiting surrounding attractions such as Paultons Park, Marwell Zoo, New Forrest, lovely villages near the Solent etc with the added local amenities of buses, train station, great shopping, bowling alley, country park with steam engine, bingo hall and good restaurants.
This is a lovely friendly hotel on the edge of Eastleigh Country Park. Staff are really pleasant and helpful and that includes housekeeping. I had a lovely double room with garden terrace and a good size en suite with a walk in shower. Everywhere was really clean, the bed was super comfy and I had a large tv with loads of channels, apps etc. Breakfast was really good and the staff really nice. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you for a super stay Ellington Lodge 😃
The lodge was very comfortable, clean, quiet and modern. Before the trip the host send us a pack with all the information about the lodge and surrounding areas. It was easy to get to by car and flexible check in. The lodge is equipped with everything you need for a weekend away, from a very modern kitchen to classic board games. It has a great view from the countryside and the lake near by. It was lovely and we would come back again.
Breakfast was very good. The room was a little tired but was told they were in the process of renovation, however the room was quite large and the bed and facilities were excellent. The gardens of the hotel can only be described as superb and the decking area was absolutely brilliant. The staff went above and beyond and were brilliant.
Convenient for Southampton Airport. Just about walkable in 25 minutes, though we didn’t. The owner kindly gave us a lift (£15). It is in a 2 bedroom apartment. Has a separate bathroom and living room/kitchen. The apartment was clean and tidy. Our room was quite small. Quiet location not far from Swan Centre in Eastleigh.
I loved the layout of the hotel it was very welcoming . Accessable lifts. Didn't check out the pool which I wish I had done.
Food was great , staff were very friendly and helpful. Very handy for my mother and I as only up the road as having work done on our house. Would stay here again as I loved it !
Good size for family of four.
We had booking done for 2 adults and 2 kids, to single beds were done and 2 sets of towels. It it odd that nothing was prepared for us to sleep sofa bed.
Otherwise location is good, close to Eastleigh town centre, coop on door step if you want to cook yourself.
Very pleasant staff all round. Had a meal from hotel and was beautiful. Rooms are very clean and bed really comfortable. Clean towels everyday. Nothing too much trouble when asked. Overall a great stay and will definitely return.
Great location for Paultons Park. Greeted by lovely friendly girl at reception (Name begins with a 'T"). Great leisure facilities! Room & hotel in general very clean.
Really lovely Hotel, Bar, Food,Breakfast, was all great! Rooms very comfortable, cosy and clean, beds also great and a lovely size.
All in all a lovely stay .
Nice hotel. Although work was being done at the time, disruption was kept to a minimum. Well located for M3 and lives up to Holiday Inn quality standards.
The room was large, with a sofa and a decent tea tray, & the bed comfortable.
We didn't investigate any of the hotel facilities & nor did we eat there.
