Honeysuckle Homestead, hotel in Dinton

Located in Dinton, in a historic building, 14 km from Salisbury Train Station, Honeysuckle Homestead is a guest house with a garden and shared lounge.

Very clean, basic room which was okay for two nights. Only downside , no net curtain at window which meant had to keep curtain closed, as room was on the ground floor near entrance. Nice clean, modern bathroom with shower, had to be careful with sink tap as water would shoot over sink and on to floor, just needs replacing. Bed, mattress not very comfortable, needs changing. Breakfast although not full English was very very good, lovely selection of meats, cheeses & fruit. Very good value for the price of the stay. Corinne the owner was very helpful and welcoming. Well priced overall.

The Royal Oak, hotel in Dinton

Located in Swallowcliffe, The Royal Oak features a garden and bar. This inn features free WiFi and on-site dining. Free private parking is available on site.

An18th century inn the Royal Oak situated in Swallowcliffe a hamlet 11 miles west of Salisbury Wiltshire which looks charming and inviting. However upon arrival sadly not a pleasant welcome quite insincere from the landlord (despite having pre-paid for 1 night B&B) a very disappointing start to our vacation. The Breakfast was better part of our stay - the polite and friendly young female provided good efficient service.

    Great welcome, very friendly host.

Great welcome, very friendly host. Good facilities & excellent choice at breakfast (continental) Huge field at the rear of the property was excellent for dog walking. Lovely pub/restaurant within one mile easily walked to. The bed could do with an upgrade as the mattress was a bit flat. Otherwise very happy with our stay & would visit again if in the area as it was excellent value for money.

We used the cottage as a base to explore wider area. Salisbury Museum and Cathedral were great. The park and Ride bus service was brilliant and very easy to access from Wilton. Lots of interesting places within 20 mile radius of the cottage.

Dinton is a village with 1 pub in the village and the Penruddock on the outskirts. All clean and tidy from the journey I took through the village. Not to far from Salisbury which where i went for my week stay.
