Located directly beside the A1, with good parking for a van. My bed was comfortable, shower worked well. I would say the rooms could do with a bit of TLC.

Great staff! The countryside location was very pretty. The hotel grounds and gardens were gorgeous to walk about and enjoy, with lots of seating areas. Great free car parking. Local taxi into Pontefract was only £11 and Action Cars were brilliant. Restaurant food was good and as a large group we were impressed with the slick service. Double rooms were comfortable. The Hideaway suite was lovely with its own lounge area and fabulous bathroom upstairs ; the private little garden was delightful. The residents’ lounge was cosy and we were well looked after with late drinks.

The owners were very helpful and friendly. The room was very quiet with excellent ensuite facilities. The honesty bar was great idea and helps donate to a very good cause, long may it continue. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.
