Quiet location next to the small village church, perfect for walks in the pretty countryside. We would have liked to stay another night to enjoy the surroundings! Staff and locals were really friendly and immediately felt at home. We really liked that the pub is owned by the locals, who saved it from closing down during Covid. Room was comfortable and breakfast was delicious, everything we hoped for and we would definitely recommend!

Very welcoming with everything in place for a comfortable stay.
The perfect place to base yourself for hill walking.
The perfect place to base yourself for hill walking. The views were of course outstanding & our hosts had recommended 2 different length walks to get the lay of the land. It’s a short drive into Bluith Wells if you need to pick up supplies. Coming back after a day out to a warm & comfortable house made the trip perfect

It is a fantastic rural location, just right for people who want to get away from it all. But still within a reasonable distance from the Brecon Beacons National Park (Pen y Fan, Waterfalls) and Hay-On-Wye (2nd hand bookshop capital of the UK). The local pub in Erwood, the Wheelwright's Arms does great food and has a nice atmospheere.

A bit of a wiggly road to find this secluded spot but worth it. Big open plan room, ideal for our toddler who also enjoyed the sheep in the nearby field. Very well located for access to Brecon Beacons with a multitude of amazing walks. Local towns, Hay on Wye and Brecon also very picturesque. Decent pubs in the area but currently need to book for peak weekend lunchtimes.
