Lovely property in the back streets of Whitehaven, from the minute we walked in everyone and everything was perfect, the room was lovely the bar area and restaurant was also lovely.
The staff were like a well oiled military machine wearing their earphones whilst moving around. Nothing was any trouble for them.

It's a nice seaside hotel. There were some big groups staying while we were there and the staff was a bit harried, but the rooms were nice and the location is right by the sea. Perfect for starting the c2c hike.

Our room was up 2 flights of steep stone spiral stairs, not great. The room was fine but had a large beam across it, at about 5ft, also not ideal.
Breakfast was ok but not spectacular, we had dinner again ok, very limited choice for vegetarians.

The town is superbly located to get the most of the southern lakes as well as the nearby sea. A very nice quiet place to relax after walks in the beautiful countryside where a breathtaking lake nestled between rolling hills and majestic peaks is never far away.
