Beacon View was just 5 minutes from Penrith town but in the country so very peaceful and quiet. Set on a beautiful property where we enjoyed watching the sunset. Our friends and I enjoyed our stay, the house was well equipped and was super clean and nice and warm with the heating. Host was very accommodating and great with communication.

The location was set in the beautiful countryside with the sheep and lambs in reaching distance. Before arrival I had a special request because of allergies, The Plough were so accommodating with this. Checked in late evening and the staff offered to take our bags to our room whilst we ate and unwound from our very long journey. The food was delicious and the portions are a good size. The whole establishment was clean and well decorated despite ongoing some eternal improvements to the beer garden. I would highly recommend this little gem. The only thing I would say perhaps to add a children’s menu as not all children are big eaters and my nephew wasted the majority of the adults meal which was over £20 so expensive when they don’t eat large portions. We would definitely return in the future.
Lovely little village, nice welcoming village pub.
Lovely little village, nice welcoming village pub. The food was good in the pub, the staff very accommodating.
You are able to have a walk through the village and lanes without lot of traffic.
There is not a shop in walking distance and Calthwaite is about 20/25 mins from Kewsick.
