The hotel location is number 1. Then you must remember this is a very, very old building. Besides these items, the hotel has recently gone through big changes and upgrades which have made it a much better place to stay.

Location was stunning, hard to believe it is a stone's throw away from Coventry City Centre. Such a relaxing, quiet location.

It is a nice hotel, I really liked it (as I mentioned in my public review). They’ve upgraded my room, it was very spacious, warm and cosy. Cleanliness could be much better, also bad that they don’t check if things are out of order. Would like to come back and try spa (looked very tempting!). Parking is very convenient, territory around is pretty (sadly didn’t have enough time to check it all).
Good location for us. The bar snacks available late afternoon were excellent. We were out at a function for dinner.
We didn't ask the question but our guess is that this hotel has changed hands recently and is in the process of being restored / redecorated. There weren't many guest as far as we could tell, and not many staff, enough to handle the number of guests. The staff also seemed relatively inexperienced. I think things will improve dramatically over the coming months.
The mattress was nice and soft, the property must have been good in the past, the spa was ice and the meal we had in the bar was the best thing about the hotel I had the pie and my partner had the steak they were both very good just the onion rings were burnt and not up to par. the creamy mash was very tasty lets say we both enjoyed the meal very much.
Great meal, just felt let down having paper napkins.
Also would have preferred to have the tea/coffee served for breakfast, not self sevre.
Hotel starting g to look tired. Shame I've stayed here a few times, but feel it's look it's edge.
I honestly can not think of 1 thing I liked! … It was in close proximity to where I was working. I advised my colleagues to stay elsewhere before booking this hotel
The room rate was good and the hotel is in beautiful surroundings. The room was OK although they certainly had missed the collection of cobwebs in the window.
