The room was very comfortable, albeit a bit small. The en suite shower room was very well appointed and the bed very comfortable. The hotel was historic, but recently renovated to a very high standard, although building work was still in evidence. The cocktail lounge and restaurant were very comfortable, and the staff were all friendly and efficient. With regard to food, the breakfasts were very good and the choice rather wider than most hotels. Many places say that their food is locally sourced, but few could claim their meat products come from the butchers on the next corner ( suppliers of pork pies to Wimbledon apparently). The dinner menu was limited in choice compared to some hotels but the dishes we chose were superlative on the occasion we dined in, and the price reflected that.
The view of the cathedral from the room was almost surreal - the best cityscape I've seen.
With an award-winning restaurant and stylish wine bar, Tower Hotel offers boutique bedrooms with free Wi-Fi. In Lincoln's Cathedral Quarter, the hotel is 500 metres from the Medieval Bishop’s Palace.
