My daughter and I enjoyed the swimming pool - especially the slide and wave machine.
The shopping centre was good to visit but very expensive. Nice surroundings in the shopping centre and activity centre.

Check-in was nice & friendly - I did query the room price, but on checking I had incorrectly remembered the original booking price was less. This was all handled in a friendly & professional manner.
We had in fact, been upgraded to a slightly bigger double room.

Boat of Garten is a great little village with all the necessaries. The post office/village shop has some excellent fare on offer. Anderson's restaurant and the Boat Hotel are well worth a visit. The EV chargers at the village hall are very convenient and the village is surrounded by a variety of well maintained and signed forest paths to suit all abilities.

We loved the caravan it was very comfortable and plenty of room, had everything you could need included in it. Very relaxing super holiday park very well looked after and clean, very quiet, great place to chill out. Aviemore is just a few minutes away.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10
If you like being outdoors it is perfect.
If you like being outdoors it is perfect. Loch Garten is the perfect tonic for anyone tired of city life, it was so beautiful and peaceful there. Of course Aviemore is close if you want skiing in season and perhaps some night life. Grantown on Spey was lovely and more forest nearby in Anagach Woods. Lots of Neolithic sites near Grantown too. Nethy Bridge was lovely, surrounded by forest.

Beautiful location and only a short drive to Aviemore.
Beautiful location and only a short drive to Aviemore. We took the train to Inverness for the day and had a beautiful meal in a restaurant there. Easy to get to the shops and supermarkets in Aviemore itself.

On our second night we asked if these could be exchanged - which they were. Food was good, though I had discussed vegan options with staff on the phone (twice) prior to our visit and was assured that was fine but the message clearly hadn't got through to the kitchen staff.. They did pull out the stops for us though when we arrived for dinner and gave us a separate menu on the second night.

Property may look a bit dated but everything is very clean. Flexibility and friendly service from a small business, they want to help if you need anything. Location-wise there is not much in Boat of Garten but you probably know what to do in the area if going there. Aviemore is 10mins drive away and cycling paths go very close to the guesthouse.
