Super king sized bed! Very comfortable, characterful room. The staff had left the windows open to stop it from getting too stuffy before we arrived and the whole package included a full English breakfast - which was very good too. Staff were very friendly, we were greeted with a warm smile and provided with all the relevant information efficiently.

Bell Hotel by Greene King Inns, hotel in Birtsmorton

The beautiful, half-timbered Bell is across the street from Tewkesbury Abbey. It has a friendly bar and restaurant and cosy en suite bedrooms, some offering views of the Abbey.

Building lovely - but side entrance in full sun, on entering - very dark - hard ti see. plus I was visibly stressed as I had to park furthest point from pub/ annexe . (Mobility health issues. ) Outside entertainer very good- nice atmosphere. See below re check in. # Once # annexe found ! ( see below) room good. Meal good & jolly attentive waitress. Going to room the “Off duty staff “. Jay ( previously emailed) is an absolute credit to the managerial staff team brilliant people person. M- thoughtful efficient. I would stay again and hope to soon. Wish I’d stayed next night- my birthday but had paid for another hotel for my 70th dearer but website said breakfast included ( it wasn’t!!)

There was nothing we didn't like.

There was nothing we didn't like. Our whole stay was delightful. Richard was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble. He even gave us wine and beer before we headed off to the lovely local pub for dinner, and we had some great chats. Our room (with en-suite) was cosy and the bed very comfortable. Earplugs were supplied but we didn't use them, because we enjoy hearing all the country sounds, even the cockerel crowing! TVs were available in our room and the lounge, but we didn't use them - it was nice to be without it for a while. Breakfast was lovely - simple and delicious, and Richard makes his own bread - seeded and white, so there is a choice; both are delicious. His own chickens lay the breakfast eggs. The family pets are very friendly, and the new puppy is adorable! The location of Home Farm is beautiful - very rural and peaceful, with a charming pub - The Duke of York - within walking distance. For our two completely free days we had a guided factory tour of the Morgan Motor Company in Malvern, and enjoyed a trip on the Gloucester Canal. A truly enjoyable three-night break, which we fully recommend. Thank you, Richard!

Off the beaten track in the heart of the countryside, but with a pub down the road and not too far from civilisation. If you want a friendly, relaxed stay then tbis for you, but don't expect a 5 star hotel style where no one noticez you - you're made to feel like one of the family.
