Beautiful, well run property in a charming village accessed along a well kept but dramatic road. Views from our room were stunning. Nearby hiking path up onto cliffs with many birds sighted. Delicious breakfast and good coffee. Friendly staff who made us welcome despite stresses of the strike which was escalating during our week long stay and making things increasingly difficult.
Situated in Vestmanna, Kassie & Gia's Home has a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. The area is popular for hiking, and car hire is available at the hostel.

Stayed at Terje’s property for 4 nights in May. The house was spotlessly clean, kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner for all 4 days. There are even oven supplies to bake a cake if you wanted. There is also a playground right outside the house that we were allowed access to - our 2yo loved this and played there twice a day. Terje was very considerate, he prepared high chair and cot for our needs. He is also very friendly and we had many great conversations with him about the Faroe Islands. Our favourite spot was the “glass dining area”, we ate all our meals there whilst admiring the views. The fireplace also makes it very cosy when it is cold. The surroundings of the house are so beautiful, makes for a good morning stroll.

The best house we stayed at on the Faroe Islands! We were 4 people and we all wished we could've lived here for the whole trip. Even better than we expected from the pictures. When we were relaxing in the living room it felt like we were still enjoying the outside because of the beautiful view of the mountains and the water. And even nicer to sit on the balcony and relax. We were lucky to get sunny weather :) It felt like home, very clean and modern. There were already a few basic dry goods in the kitchen like oat meal etc and spices. Easy to check in and out with the keybox and code. Friendly host.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this charming house near the river, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning views of the Faroen hills and the soothing sound of the nearby river.
The house itself is a true gem, beautifully crafted with traditional wooden details that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's clear that a lot of love and attention has gone into every aspect of this property, from the comfortable furnishings to the well-equipped kitchen.
Another great feature of the house is the sound of the river, which creates a soothing white noise that lulls us to sleep each night. We both slept soundly and woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
One of the highlights of our stay was our host, Marianna. She was incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed! Thank you, Marianna!
Overall, we recommend this property highly! It's the perfect retreat for couples or small families looking for a taste of traditional charm and natural beauty.

Tjørnuvik is definitely worth a visit for its spectacular location and scenery. It is isolated - only one road in and out. Good hiking possibilities in spectacular scenery. The bay is also very picturesque. There is a coffee and pancake place in the centre of the village which is very cosy - limited opening hours though.
