We couldn't believe the beautiful views from the property and the stunning development. The room was extra large and well appointed. We had dinner at the restaurant both nights and that was good too.The cafe in the foyer was a great place to have a light breakfast too.

Our suite contained a full kitchen, living room and two bedrooms. Lots of room for three adults. And good location, close enough to Victoria for day trips or Port Renfrew, going north. We recommend it. 9

The property owner, Emir, was such an amazing host! Very hands-on and was so keen to assist. Had very interesting chats with him, too. The amenities were top notch and they have everything you need for your stay.
We went fishing for 2 days. Rough water on 2nd day.

Definitely had to upgrade from what Booking.com booked for us. It was the lowest quality room they had. The service and staff were excellent. After upgrading to an ocean view and balcony the bedroom and bathroom were very good size but the bed was way too hard. I had to stack up the towels to make it softer for my hips. The restaurant service was good, the chef even spiced up my tuna bowl for me. Even for October the gardens were beautiful with fire pots and comfy chairs. Nice veranda with beautiful view from the restaurant. Good happy hour menu and drinks list. Beautiful place to go to in October. Excellent resort for weddings.

Most noted was lack of signage to direct tourists to the sights outlined in the travel brochure for the area.
Very heavy traffic on the highway thru the main street town. Local retailers and people we met were very nice and accommodated our queries about the area. Will visit again. Trail to Sandcut Beach was a beautiful rain forest experience. Mile 14 and 17 Mile Pub are very nice restaurants with a variety menu. Sooke Brewing Co. and Sooke Oceanside Brewery both have excellent craft brews available.

Great hiking from Aylard's Farm.
Great hiking from Aylard's Farm. A lovely view from Sooke Point and there is a short hiking trail there too leading to a splendid view point and a small beach. Port Renfrew worth visiting because of the Botany Bay and Botanical Beach. All beaches between Sooke and Port Renfrew are worth seeing. We finished our stay with the trail along the river -Sooke Potholes.
Great pizza oven baked in Shirley.

Sooke, township is a disgrace in town planning, ..there is none. We went into the town and did not find a nice place to stop. What a shame. this town could have been so lovely. Getting around is difficult.
Walking at Whiffin Spit is lovely.
So very sad to see Sooke Harbour House gone for a huge new development.
The foyer/lobby of the hotel has been beautifully done and has a very elegant beach/west coast vibe.
The breakfast at the restaurant was very tasty and they were able to accommodate gluten free options.
The harbour view was gorgeous and we enjoyed having a balcony. The courtyard was beautifully landscaped and appointed with fire pits and seating - they were so popular that we were unable to have a chance to sit there!
We were in Sooke for a three day event. The house was only four minutes from the venue. The house was clean, easy to find and feeling like we were more at home than in a "hotel".
There were even little welcome items we did not expect.
We had the privacy we liked.
Sharon did great us at the perfect time to see if there was anything else she could do to help our stay be more enjoyable or if something was not right.
Great location, close to Whiffin Spit where you can take a leisurely walk and take in the beautiful sights, sounds and fresh air of the wild West Coast. The views from the hot tub of the ocean, eagles and surrounding landscapes were fabulous! The hosts provided tasty snacks and breakfast that were delicious. We would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling to Sooke.
Very luxurious apartment, just like the pictures. Building right at the water edge and lots in walking distance, park, wharf, restaurants, shopping. Superb bathroom, super comfy bed, nice size balcony, high end kitchen. The residents were very friendly to us. The contact was very responsive and showed a lot of flexibility which we really appreciated.
The owner was easy to reach and responded quickly to my questions. The location is in close proximity to downtown Sooke, restaurants and sights. The suite was roomy and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The suite was pet friendly and there was a little fenced yard with a fire pit area with fairy lights which was a nice bonus.
This was a great spot! The view of the Sooke Basin from the window of The Captain's Perch was stellar. You could walk out onto the Galloping Goose Trail from the backyard. The bed was very comfortable. The hot tub also overlooked the Sooke Basin and the sunsets were gorgeous.
Location was good for us as it was close to family in area. It is close to downtown Sooke, so it is convenient to shops etc…. It was very clean. It was stocked with kitchen ware. Once the heat came up to temperature it was warm. Parking was very easy right in driveway.
We came by bicycle from Cowichan Lake through the Sooke wilderness trail, arrived at 8:30 at night and could get in with a code. and we could charge the batteries downstairs.
There are 2 balconies, great sunrise from the top balcony.
Very well equipped clean kitchen.
Homely, quirky and comfortable. the best bed we have slept in for ages. Good position a short walk to the beach. private and the owner provided many little things including a welcome pack, with milk, cream, eggs, cookies and more. very thoughtfully presented.
Perfect location for a soul reviving getaway. Quite clean, beautiful location, close to yummy restaurants, beautiful beaches, and cute stores. I went on quite a few hiking and biking adventures, so the secluded hot tub and comfy beds were a definite plus.
The location was beautiful and very convenient for the activities we had planned (Sooke Potholes). Gail was very sweet and made us a lovely breakfast even though we didn't order one! We had the top floor so it felt private and cozy.
Location was very good for exploring Sooke and vicinity, linens were clean, beds comfortable (did not use hide-a-bed but others report very uncomfortable), resort grounds and setting very picturesque.
The property was very clean and exactly as advertised. It was walking distance to good restaurants and a safe place to leave our bikes. It was perfect for us.
