Location was great. Staff was friendly. Car needed to be parked on a far away lot but the free shuttle was very efficient.

The rooms were clean and a reasonable size. Since the two chaps on our tour were in our mid seventies, the front desk took this onto account upon arrival and gave us adjacent, ground floor, rooms. The breakfast was good. We were well located for restaurants.

Spectacular view of Lake Louise and surrounding mountains.
Emerald Lake Lodge was a fabulous stay but even if you don't...
Emerald Lake Lodge was a fabulous stay but even if you don't get to experience a roaring fire in your lake side room, the hiking trails even around the lake are beautiful!! The Natural Bridge over Kicking Horse pass is on the same road, and is a Must See! The Town of Field is a quaint little village that is great for photos of train tracks and often Elk.
Takkaka Falls are also just before the Village of Field exit. Although the road to the parking lot is closed until spring and its like a 16 km trek in! So go in the summer for sure to get right up to the falls! They are stunning!

We liked the room but the stairs up to our unit were extremely steep when carrying luggage. Our balcony overlooking Emerald Lake was lovely but smoky while we were there. We took our own fan which was good advice from my sister. It was very hot at that time. Once the tourists left the lake around 5 pm it became very peaceful. Enjoyed walking around the resort in the evening. It was too hot to use the wood burning fireplace. Would love to come back to stay in some of the other cabins.

We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge outside of Field.
We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge outside of Field. Notwithstanding this, the village itself is quite interesting. To stay in the village overnight you have to be impervious to train noise. The mountains surrounding Field and the attractions close by are outstanding. It's beauty surpasses Lake Louise, in my opinion.

We had a really great time here .
We had a really great time here .If anyone is looking for a little winter wonderland this is the place. Beautiful place to stay right on the lake. My husband and I went snow shoeing which was a really beautiful trail. Had an amazing dinner and bottle of wine curled up by the fire in the main lodge, service is great. Would highly recommend checking this place out with your partner. Very romantic.

Field is a beautiful quaint town with endless activities in the area. Back country skiing and ice climbing everywhere! Eat dinner at Truffle Pigs and breakfast or a lunch at the Sliding Door Cafe. The area is incredible.

Cheaper accomodations, beautiful scenery, great information...
Cheaper accomodations, beautiful scenery, great information center, and nearness to local attractions such as Kicking Horse Mountain and Takakka Falls. I understand that there is a 2 hr walk from Takakka falls that takes in 5 other waterfalls, several as appealing as Takakka Falls that I wish I had known about sooner.
We loved that our room was close to the lodge, had a nice forest view, and was both cozy and comfortable. It was especially great relaxing in front of our fireplace after a fabulous meal at the lodge! The friendly, helpful staff, amazing ambience, and incredible walking paths around the lake made for a wonderful stay at Emerald Lake. We look forward to returning in the near future!
Canadian Rockies Inn is situated right in the heart of Field, very near to a good restaurant. It´s only 15 minutes drive to Emerald lake and interesting hiking trails (like Iceline trail) can be reached from there. The owner is really very nice and he gave us many tipps what to see or where to go. There are no supermarkets in Field but we knew that beforehand and were prepared.
Very comfortable and clean place set in the mountains that had everything we needed. It had a small kitchen that was very functional, a large bathroom with laundry and a bed with a sitting area and TV. It was a basement apartment with its own entrance and was very private. Field is a great spot to explore Yoho Park and all the trails. Charlie was very accommodating and helpful.
The place is clean and tidy.
This is a small town called Field.
Staying here is very peaceful.
Very nearby Emerald lake and Takakkaw falls.
20 mins drive from Lake Louise and Moraine lake.
Recommend to stay here but make sure you buy all necessary food and drinks before arriving here. It’s really small town. If you are looking for a quiet place and stay this is the one.
The staff was very kind, the lodge is near the river and the mountain, the view is beautifull. Check-in and out was efficient. The room is gorgeous, the amenities are great and the tub was spacious. Breakfast was good, they sell s'mores kits to make some on the fire pit near the river. There was a complimentary canoe slip to go canoeing for free on Moraine Lake.
Our host, Luc, was helpful, easy to contact and very kind. He has created two lovely, and comfortable spaces which can be used separately or opened up to make a two bedroom apartment. Field was a short 25 minute drive to Lake Louise , a short distance from beautiful natural bridge and Emerald Lake and around the corner from a wonderful restaurant.
The view of the lake was breathtaking. Loved the secluded feeling, with top notch services. The friendly staff made the stay even more memorable. We arrived after 9 p.m. finding the dining room closed, the hotel staff member who drove us to our cabin spoke to the kitchen staff who then prepared us something to eat. Really appreciated that. 👏
Staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Keen to make everything work as best they could. Responsive when asked for help. Location from an "access to beautiful things" point of view was amazing. Nearby hikes were wonderful. Also, the lodge provides you access to the canoes at their sister property Moraine Lake, and this was a wonderful experience.
The Canadian Rockies Inn is such a wonderful place to stay. Our room was enormous, with a gigantic bathroom. I loved the gas fireplace. There was also a small kitchen area with an induction burner that helped us make an excellent breakfast. The bed was SOOOO comfortable. Luc is a great host. I hope we can come back there soon.
The View from the room and balcony is one of the best in the world. The guest rooms are cozy with wood burning fireplaces. The lodge is very comfortable and welcoming to guests the, staff was amazing. Access to trails and views around Emerald lake and in Yoho National Park. overall worth the value
Lovely hotel. Bed was incredibly comfortable and room was so cozy! Gas fire so nice. Dinner was delicious. Breakfast was not as good. It was great to be so close to main sites in yoho park. We got a complimentary canoe rental at lake moraine which was a surprise and was great!
the accommodation was very clean and felt as though it had recently been refurbished.
it was perfect for us……spacious, comfortable and very clean.
the location to Yoho Park was ideal.
It was also nice to be in Field and enjoy the local history and hospitality.
Great location, accommodation, meals and service. Our cabin was right on the water and near the main lodge. Dinner was great. The included breakfast was average and could use some improvement. Great location as a base for hiking and fishing.
The premises are beautiful and were designed in such a way that you always have a view of the lake from just about anywhere. The experience is what you are paying for because the hotel itself is very average especially for a 4-star hotel.
Quaint village and nice facility snuggled into the mountains. Great restaurant a 2 minute walk. Nice bedrooms. With a look around the kitchen you can find most things you would need in a kitchen. Luke was helpful and welcoming.
Absolutely gorgeous log cabins by the rushing river and a memorable experience with a fire pit by the river. Close to incredible national parks and the Icefields Parkway. Just magic.
The hotel located in the middle of banff national park, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, and the restaurant is a top notch
