With a stroll through the river area I again appreciated all the hard work of citizens determined to prevent flooding and also warning about personal safety near the water and on the bridge. The variety of shops is interesting. This trip we walked the river trail to the viewpoint to appreciate the Courtenay River joining the ocean. There are plenty of coffee shops, a brewery and bakery and great ethnic preferences for dinner dining. I always enjoy our visits.CeliaCanada - 8.0Scored 8.0

The area is billed Courtney/ Comox and it was the comox area that was most inviting. Scenery, restaurants etc. Locals Restaurant was probably one of the best restaurants and value we’ve been to in a long time.

As we were driving a classic car, we wanted a hotel where we could park our car right in front of our room and that worked out perfectly. The kitchen has everything one needs but no dishwasher, which is not a problem for us. It also has a washer and dryer. This is a gem in Courtenay. We hope to return one day.
