The location is perfect when driving the Cabot Trail, which we were. The check-in and check-out was so easy and everything was as described by the owners.
L'Auberge Doucet Inn offers 13 non-smoking modern rooms with a picturesque view of either Chéticamp Island in the front or the Cape Breton Highlands at the rear of the Inn.
Boasting views of the ocean and mountain from their guestrooms, the Yellow Sidecar Bed and Breakfast offers free Wi-Fi access throughout and a daily breakfast.

Stunning place but Brenda and Roger themselves make it truly special. The room was cosy and perfectly clean. The view was truly special too. Brenda and Roger prepared an outstanding delicious breakfast every day (best egg Benedict’s I ever had) and we had lovely conversations. Thank you so much for having us. We will be back.
Margaree Harbour View Inn B&B is located in Margaree Harbour. It offers free Wi-Fi access, a full daily breakfast and a shared patio overlooking Margaree Highland Mountains.

Nice and warm hosts, good breakfast, beautiful view especially the sun peering through the early morning fog in the valley. I had never seen anything like it.
Le Portage is a very nice golf course. Virtually every hole is secluded and the whole facility is well tended and the fee is reasonable. After our round on a Saturday morning, we went to the Doryman's restaurant where a ceilidh was happening. Terrific maritime music and many patrons took their turn at step dancing. Great fun! Finally, a nice meal at the Harbour restaurant rounded out our fabulous day. We were lucky... the next day it poured buckets and we left a day earlier than planned.

Nice small town with pleasant stony beach.
Nice small town with pleasant stony beach. Doryman's Pub was perfect for dinner with live music. The community was there dancing to traditional music. Great place to stay during Cabot Trail drive around Cape Breton.

We totally enjoyed Cheticamp, the accommodations were excellent, the friendliness' of the town folk was exceptional, The restaurants, grocery staff at the Co-Op and the legion members were all very inviting and they all treated us with warmth and welcoming. Cheticamp is where I will continue to bring our out of province guests to visit,
This motel is the last location before entering Cape Breton Highlands National Park, so the location is exceptional. The motel sits next to a creek where I had the opportunity to see a bald eagle flying on both days of my stay. The trail on-site is wooded and quiet, and sitting outside the room by the creek is relaxing with a beautiful view. Lots of chipmunks and a few deer wandered through. The staff is super friendly and recommended trails, restaurants, and activities throughout Cheticamp.
we had one of the larger cabins which had a nice size kitchen/living room/dining room combo. Cabin had all the kitchen supplies like pots and pans, cutlery, dishes, and full size refrigerator. 1 local grocery store (CoOp) was about 5 minutes away but check hours….things close early. Also Cape Breton National park entrance 5 minutes away which was convenient. Ocean directly across the street(no access) pretty views.
Accolade is on the back road in Cheticamp so it is nice and quiet throughout the day. There are trails nearby and you are surrounded by fields and forests. Kevin is a great host and will share the history of his family and Cheticamp with you. The dorms are small, clean, and comfortable. There is a small kitchen you can use to prep food if you want. Very unique hostel in a renovated barn.
It was convenient. The hotel needs some serious updating and to refinish walls and flooring. Everything was very clean except the floors. The staff was great. The breakfast was ok. Wouldn't rave about it. It was hot and had a decent variety. The coffee was horrible though. The price was ridiculous but I waited too long to make the reservation and there wasn't anything else left.
I'm doing this review solely to thank Rita for helping me out of a tough jam. I left my laptop at the hotel -- arg -- and didn't see her texts until I arrived in Antigonish, more than 2 hours away. And we were leaving for Halifax the next morning! She helped me find a driver -- Albert, a fine fellow -- who could bring it to me at a reasonable cost. Rita, you are awesome!!!
Nice modern interior and appliances, also got a free upgrade on our suite. The Cabot suite was fully stocked with cookware, stove, and dishwasher, so we were able to cook dinner easily, which was a good option to have since there were only a handful of restaurants open in Cheticamp during the winter.
You are literally almost on the pier! It is spectacular! So fun and quaint and comfy! There isn't a thing you can't walk to in Cheticamp proper and it felt so safe! Lovely really! We did not have noise with the boats leaving in the morning but we found them to be wonderful to watch!
We paid for a deluxe room, which was a good size with two comfortable beds.
The hosts were friendly, available and helpful.
Motel is well located near the amenities of Cheticamp and across the river from the entrance to the National Park.
The room also had a lovely view of the river.
Great place situated near the entrance of the cabot trail / national park. We were two friends but I think this place would be perfect for a couple. Check in was simple and easy and the hotel was very quick to respond to our messages or questions. Great place to stay.
Cozy, very clean room. Manager was great and recommended the Doryman Pub and Grill in town for dinner. The entertainment was great, Scottish fiddle group. Perfectly set the mood for our location. Location was great for heading into Cape Breton Natl Pk the next day.
It was a lovely spot right in the heart of Cheticamp on the Cabot Trail. Close to restaurants, beaches, golf, whale watching, hiking. The kitchen was very spacious with everything needed, staff friendly, very clean cottage , good water pressure etc.
Amazing central location in Cheticamp. So close to trails ( Acadia Trail, Skyline among others). Beautiful view of the bay with a little boardwalk where we even saw blue herons landing! Delicious food in the restaurant attached to the auberge.
Room was fairly large and bed was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is good with quite a few choices. The location is pretty central in Cheticamp so close to everything. Easy check-in and check-out. Staff are friendly.
Very spacious suite with a living room, a kitchen and a bedroom. Great location in Cheticamp, very close to restaurants, groceries, marina, whale watching excursions, gas stations, etc. Quiet at night. Restaurant on site.
Considerably more modern than the images make it look, this hotel was perfect. Efficient, well located and comfortable. It has a kitchen with snacks and a washer and dryer the guests can use.
Michelle was so welcoming and friendly, it made us feel at home. The room was spacious and clean. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Cheticamp.
