Very nicely run establishment, with 3 styles of accommodation (guest house, cottage and motel). The main building is historic, and character. I stayed in a cottage, which was very well appointed (all good quality) and very charming. Nicer than the pictures. The manager was very welcoming and lovely. The location is great.

This motel was a revelation. I chose it because it was affordable and I wanted to stay in Port Fairy. I was expecting a standard Victorian motel. What we got was a handsome two-storey bluestone building right in the middle of the nicest part of town, with large, luxurious, spotless rooms. The atmosphere was relaxed, the rooms were comfortable and welcoming with no smell of damp. I rarely sleep as well as I did that night.
Port Fairy is a lovely little town. Don't miss the walk out to the river mouth, especially if you can go at dusk when the wallabies congregate. There are rays in the river. After the walk, there's a surprisingly large choice of places to eat. Will be staying here again!
On average, it costs US$118 per night to book a 3-star hotel in Port Fairy for tonight. You'll pay on average around US$150 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in Port Fairy will cost around US$236 (based on Booking.com prices).

Seacombe House was absolutely delightful and we were greeted by Christine who had turned the heating on in our room ready for us. The room was perfect for two with all mod cons. Dinner at the Caledonian Hotel was fun with live music. Hoping we can back for the Folk Festival in 2025?

Second oldest town in Victoria.
Second oldest town in Victoria. Plus went to the Aboriginal Eel Traps at Tae Rak Aquaculture Centre. Traps are 6,000 years old. Our guide was most informative about their culture. Just brilliant.
Main street has not been spoiled by developments.
A most characterful area and continues down to and along the river.
I like staying in 'old' towns such as this.
Echuca, Castlemain, Creswick, Beechworth, Bright, Yackandanda, Swan Hill, San Remo, etc.

Port Fairy I believe is the best presented village on the Coast in Victoria and perhaps even Australia.
The walk along the River among the fascinating old and quaint homes is truely memorable. We ate at Hotel one evening and very character filled Pizza and Bar restaurant another evening.Best Pizza we have had in years,Port Fairy is a dream to walk around from the River to the Beach to the parks and gardens and generally around main village precinct.Only thing we would avoid is not staying long enough and we could have enjoyed world class golf course.

Port Fairy is a pretty little town.
Port Fairy is a pretty little town. I loved the historic buildings especially the timber cottages. The town is obviously cherished by its inhabitants and pride is taken in its presentation and history. There are some great places to eat in Port Fairy.
We had hoped to do some walking along the path by the river and around Griffith island. My husband has Parkinson’s and uses a walker for balance. We did some walking but we’re limited because the path along the river is broken by stairs to the footbridge over the river and the start of the Griffith island path is wonderful but deteriorates to rough gravel. We were doing the great ocean road and we stopped one night in the charming fishing village of Port Fairy and we discovered this authentic hostel. We fell in love with the village and the hostel! If you're looking for authentic, rustic and simple accommodation, you'll love it! We also saw lots of kangaroos on the walk to the lighthouse on Griffiths Island. I recommend ! 😍
This is one of the loveliest hotels I’ve stayed in Australia. The staff were so welcoming, the on-site restaurant was so good as was the breakfast.
Our room was comfortable and the furnishings were luxurious and beautifully styled. Lots of little extras and a top location in Port Fairy - we will definitely come back again … thank you!
Oscars Waterfront Boutique Hotel is superb with facilities that are clean, comfortable and so welcoming. The care and attention to detail within and around the Hotel and its rooms was well above our expectations. The Hotel's manager Andriana was very friendly and obliging. The breakfasts she prepared were so very tasty and filling.

Beautiful cosy hotel with a very farm like feel. Fresh cut flowers land baskets of fruit and vegetables everywhere. Chickens in the garden too.
Breakfast was amazing and plentiful. Looking forward to returning to try out the restaurant for dinner.
The location was good—-we could walk to town. Port Fairy was a nice town with beautiful flowers. Julia was very friendly and accommodating. The cottage had everything we needed and was clean. It was fun to feed the alpacas.
Wonderfully designed and renovated hotel. Cool design and very spacious "bridal suite". Friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast provided just around the corner at one of the local cafes. Best place to stay in Port Fairy.
Great stay, received a wonderful warm welcome and were given information about the hotel and locality. BIG rooms, nicely kitted out bathroom, lovey building and well located. Would definitely stay again.
