All the staff were very helpful, to the point where a staff member provided me with their own washing detergent, rather than having to go to a supermarket! All staff I dealt with were very polite and made check in a pleasure.

Not one bit like it was it was fly in fly out workers and back packers had our dates wrong. Bed was broken we didn’t stay as it wasn’t in a good part of town so we don’t recommend for families or women travelling together

The place was beautiful. We had a family cabin and it was well set up, beautiful outdoor area made us feel right at home. We had dogs so they were able to be on a lead outside in the shade. Rooms were lovely, staff was great. We had dinner over at the mess and the food was delicious. Couldn't fault anything.

Mount Isa is outback so don't expect big city facilities.
Mount Isa is outback so don't expect big city facilities. The people are generally friendly. Most modern conveniences are available. Remember it is always hot in Mount Isa so dress accordingly, stay hydrated and stay sun-safe. Taxi and Uber transport is available.

Mt Isa is a start for us as we visit family on a cattle station. This time we had time to walk around, we visited the underground hospital, the presentation was fabulous, the Information Centre was also great. We dined at the Rodeo Bar, there was live music when we were there, meals are great. Coffee at the Coffee Club was terrific.
We were also wrapped to be able to catch a Rex plane to Boulia, 45mins! much better that the 3hour drive. admittedly we had family to pick us up, so we didn't need a car.

We went to Mt Isa for the Annual Rodeo - not sure why else you would go to this town (except if you are working at the mines)
The town seems to be dying - maybe as a result of Covid - but not sure. Many shops are closed - nothing opens on a Sunday. There are only 2 or 3 restaurants in the whole town - so on the Rodeo weekend we struggled to fins a place for breakfast (had to resort to Maccas!!)
I certainly won't be returning - but then that's my personal experience.

Two days is enough but you need to plan as the summer season and dry season have different operation of events and attractions. This time in Mt Isa does not include side trips to remotes localities of places like Lawn hill. The mountains surrounding Mt Isa are beautiful. Recommend Moondarra Lake and Warrigal
For drives, the later a little rougher.

The motel was clean and comfortable.
The motel was clean and comfortable. The staff had gone the extra mile with remote controls cleaned and in a bag. The rooms a bit bigger than normal with fridge microwave toaster and kettle. The owners were really nice when we arrived. Overall a great place to stay
In short - I feel no need to look around for other options for future trips to Mt Isa (except for the sister hotel Copper City Motel, with bigger family rooms when needed, which I am staying in right now).
Lovely staff (phone reception and cleaner), very helpful and friendly.
Fantastic location, close to everything.
Clean and modern rooms.
I was unsure about the self check in, but I have since used another self-check in service (which did not go smoothly), and this one is super easy.
I loved this motel! It completely exceeded my expectations. I loved that there was a private outdoor patio for my toddlers and dog to play in after a long day of driving. I also loved all the small touches such as windscreen cleaners in the parking lot, take away coffee cups, super soft towels and a very comfortable bed. Our room was also spotlessly clean. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Mount Isa.
Nice to get to a clean well presented room after travelling from Darwin with accommodation along Stuart Hwy sub standard, highly inflated and general attitude take it or leave it. Meals delivered in a pleasant manner, good price and quite enjoyable as were desserts. Good bed and restful sleep, would stay here again. Nice to have a pet friendly stay.
The ibis Styles location was excellent, in close proximity to supermarkets, hotels, restaurants shops and only a 25minute walk to the Rodeo Arena,. The Queen bed was comfortable and Room 234 was large, with lots of furniture and plenty of bench space for laptop and other things. It was also handy to have a Washing Machine and Dryer on level 2.
Very disappointed, had a 2 bedroom suite which was tucked away in the corner of the hotel, may have previously been a storeroom. The 2 bedrooms were small, bathroom door almost hits TV. Single beds were terrible felt springy. The only positive was the staff who were amazingly helpful particularly the wait staff and the girl on reception.
The relief managers Jan and Sally were excellent and also very kind. The room was spacious and offered everything we needed, wifi worked well, the showers were hot and the location very good, near the town centre. Anyone visiting Mount Isa should also drive to Lake Moondarra nearby and enjoy the excellent scenery and the peacocks.
Room was exactly like the photos. Really amazing place for my little family and I to stay at for 1 night. Very spacious motel, had all the facilities we needed. Definitely recommend for anyone passing through Mount Isa or staying for a longer duration!!
I love this motel. It is our second time staying there. Best pet friendly motel we have stayed at. So many small details that show the owners are passionate about what they do. I love having the private courtyard space as well.
This cabin was a nice option for a week of work in Mount Isa. Close to the city (5 minute driving). The cabin was in good conditions and very clean. It is well equipped for cooking.
Value for money. Simple tidy rooms, ideal for overnight stay.
Easy check-in. Easy to find off highway.
Good pub meal at hotel and free drink for motel guests.
Motel was very easy to find on the main road. Close to the Overlander Hotel for meals. Staff were very friendly and helpful with information about Mt Isa.
