It was clean, good for children with a bunk bed in the room. Staff were very accommodating for our late check-in.

We stayed in a forest lodge at Chambers Wildlife Lodges - excellent. We had a super morning walk around the perimeter of scenic Lake Eacham , took around an hour. There were quite a few people out swimming in the lake.
We travelled on to Yungburra near-by- what a lovely little traditional town - had brunch in the most adorable cafe (sorry can't remember its name).

Great location, very close to the beautiful town of Yungaburra where there are multiple options to eat great food. Easy drive to the waterfall circuit which is breath taking. Lake Eacham has a walking track all the way around, you will need runners or walking shoes as it was slippery in parts, the walk does have a couple of steep areas where you may need to stop and admire the beautiful flora and fauna to get your breath back but mostly easy terrain the rest of the way and you can swim in the lake at the end to cool off.

A breathtaking gem of a place.
A breathtaking gem of a place. Clean fresh water for swimming plus a perimeter track for walking. I got some great wildlife photos, healthy exercise and some R&R. The lake is way more popular than when I first visited 25 years ago so go off-peak if you want peace and quiet. Great area for exploring, fabulous cafes and very friendly locals.
The cabins have recently been updated (ours had been) the photos don’t do them justice. Beautiful spot in the rainforest, with everything we needed.
Cabin 3 was right amongst the rainforest, window from our bedroom was like a tv, fabulous!
Pool, facilities and main deck was great, saw so much wildlife from our cabin and deck as well as the 7pm night feeding. Hike around the property and Lake Eacham in the morning was fabulous
Great value for money, highly recommend. Stunning location
The wild life was amazing, stripey possum, sugar gliders, long nose bandicoot, rifle bird, catbird and many more with excellent viewing areas. An amazing experience. Close to Lake Eacham and Yungaburra. At Yungaburra we saw lots of platypus and 4 tree kangaroos on Peterson's walk - this topped of our stay.
There are extensive gardens with farmyard geese and a good variety of visiting native birds. The property includes Frond cafe, which serves good coffee, breakfasts and lunches in pleasant surroundings. It is close to Lake Eacham, which is surrounded by wonderful rainforest.
It is in an awesome position and you are staying in the rainforest. We loved the animal viewing at night and watching the birds come down on our balcony to feed. It was very serene and not far from lake Eacham, Lake Barrine and Yungaburra.
