From start to finish our stay was amazing. The perfect tiny little house was so comfortable and luxurious out in a serene quiet little spot with farm animals. It was just perfect. Comfy bed, and relaxing tiny house with everything included, so didn’t need to bring the cutlery/plates/detergent etc. Easy walk to places if you have friends staying in tents and Callan was just fantastic and made the experience as comfortable as possible. Super genuine guy. Everything was there that was needed and we felt so comfortable. Loved every minute of our stay and also the cute farm animals everywhere. Thanks Callan we will definitely be back!

What a surprising nice rural town a couple of hours north of Brisbane. The town is tidy and has a busy main shopping street, and fairly new shopping centre. I particularly liked the old train station area and found a lovely cafe called Soma Soma near there. Next time I'd book the steam train as that looked popular and something different to do. The people seemed friendly, and the buildings mainly well looked after.

Gympie was the perfect stopover for us on an epic roadtrip.
Gympie was the perfect stopover for us on an epic roadtrip. The town is full of interesting historical buildings and a lot of convenient food options right on the highway. It also has very cheap fuel.
We spent the day following our stay exploring the Cooloola Coast, Rainbow Beach which is stunningly beautiful and unique, Cooloola Cove and Tin Can Bay. It was such a lovely surprise to find sleepy little towns (although super busy) in such an unspoilt and picturesque setting. We'll be back for a longer explore soon. Gympie is the perfect place to launch your adventure.

Great little spot to explore.
Great little spot to explore. Need a map or Google Maps to get around. Lots to explore and enjoy. No shopping done but that seemed plentiful. People out and about very friendly. Good food everywhere. Little places of quietness and others a hub of people enjoying. Easy to choose noise or quiet times. Beautiful scenery surroundings.

We loved everything we had planned to do.
We loved everything we had planned to do. We visited the Dickabram bridge Qld's oldest bridge not far from Gympie. We took a trip on the Mary Valley Rattler. We wandered around the shops in the main street. Had a look around the Remembrance Gates, sat at the Mosaic Stairs. Had a lovely lunch in a pub.

Love the history and the beauty of the town.
Love the history and the beauty of the town. Great town for dog owners. Will be bringing the four legged good boy back next time to explore some more. Dogs can even go on the Valley Rattler!! (Must be booked and organised in advance)
The view and the quiet! For less than the price of a hotel with traffic noise and an extra 11 minutes drive, I got a view, salt water pool and breakfast next day. Plus hints on my forward journey that saved far more than 11 minutes! I’d never thought of Gympie as a destination, now I’m making plans to return and explore from Laurelview.
This is a lovely appointed apartment situated on 6 acres of land with a creek, goats, beautiful birds and lots of other wildlife. great to walk around and we loved sitting by the creek watching the wildlife and having dinner. the location is within minutes of Gympie CBD. We will definitely return if in the area.
NOTHING! We had a confirmed booking but the hotel was closed! There was no other accommodation available in Gympie; we had to travel on to Bundaberg, an additional 3hrs drive, before finding a bed. We had not been able to contact The Royal Hotel nor Booking.com.
there was no breakfast due to covid
