Numie - Freycinet Peninsula - Glamping, hotel in Coles Bay

Situated in Coles Bay in the Tasmania region, Numie - Freycinet Peninsula - Glamping has a garden. This luxury tent features free private parking and private check-in and check-out.

The glamping facilities at Numie were phenomenal. You could tell the hosts had put thought into everything from a little log burner inside the tent to board games. We really enjoyed eating out by the fire and walking down to see a weak aurora over the water. Everything is provided to make a fire and cook food. You can see the Hazards in the distance, which is lovely. The tent is cozy and well designed. We were left a welcome note on entering, which was a nice touch. I enjoyed relaxing in the bean bags and reading. Numie has all the comforts of home and all the benefits of nature.

We would have liked more options for lunch - somewhere warm to sit and eat and admire the view. We ended up buying fish and chips and eating it in the car. The Ice Creamery, where we bought lunch, was freezing cold. Should have eaten at Freycinet Lodge, but it was too early when we were there. It is only easy to get around Coles Bay if you have a car. Some places are not suitable for caravans. Our favourite places are Honeymoon Bay and the Lighthouse walk.

Coles Bay is a beautiful spot to explore the stunning walks...

Coles Bay is a beautiful spot to explore the stunning walks around the Hazards and Wineglass Bay. There's a small store / post office that has all the basics and more, plus a fish & chip shop and great coffee bar/restaurant. Great to stay here for a few days and explore Sleepy Bay, Cape Tourville and Wineglass Bay lookout walks. The oyster farm is also well worth a visit. You definitely need a car to make the most of the area.

Coles Bay is just stunning and deserves more than the two...

Coles Bay is just stunning and deserves more than the two nights and one day that we had. Ideally, two full days if not more. Lots of hiking, beaching, kayaking etc. Loved it. Lucky those who own a house there!

On beautiful days it’s great for swimming and icecream.

On beautiful days it’s great for swimming and icecream. Lots of walking for those interested in that too. Often no need for a car but I used my escooter to get about the best, lots of people on bikes too. The Bay restaurant was a lovely atmosphere and seating.

I was very surprised at the high standard of a caravan park cabin. Was expecting something very basic, but the big comfortable bed, big high quality glass photos for decor, 2 tv sets, and everything we needed for a short stay in Coles Bay. Well placed for the beach, Main Street with shops restaurants coffee etc, and a mere few minor pets to Honeymoon Bay, Wineglass Bay trail etc. only had one night here but would be happy to return and stay longer next time.

The location was amazing to the private beach we were able to walk to and swim Initially disappointed as there was no food facilities at the resort until we discovered the Freycinet/Coles Bay Area. Oyster Farm & Geographe Cafe were outstanding. Parking close to suite was ideal. The room was very clean, ensuite needs a refresh in the shower and soaps provided. Pod machine would have been fantastic.

Beach Apartment 2 is great for 1 or 2 couples, it is the upstairs apartment so has a great view of the bay and the Hazards. It is really well appointed and is extremely spacious. The balcony and outdoor dining table are really nice for eating and enjoying the view. Everything is there for self catering, but you need to bring most things as there is not a lot in Coles Bay.

The staff were fantastic, very welcoming and informative. I can't express that enough. And they left a chocolate and sparking wine on arrival as it was my birthday - which was a super nice surprise! The stay was comfy and relatively close proximity to the main area.

Beautiful holiday home looking towards the Hazards mountains at Coles Bay. Everything was clean and tidy and the main bed was very comfortable. We often saw wallabies near the fence line which added to the experience. Only a 10 minute drive to Coles Bay.

The location and view is amazing straight across from the boat ramp and 100 - 150m to IGA, fish and chips, ice cream etc. If you want to disconnect, this is the place to do it. There's not much to do in Coles Bay itself. FREYCINET is breathtaking.
