Two full days is plenty of time to explore Berat. The castle is worth a visit maybe a taxi up and walk down as its very steep. The two bridges are nice to walk over and the view at night is wonderful. A nice reasonable restaurant is Friendly House the restaurant is upstairs and looks out over the river.

Berat is definitely on of the cool city on my list.
Berat is definitely on of the cool city on my list. It will be great to hire a tour guide for the explanation and exploration around the old castle area. Based on the local suggestion, every year, there is an event called epiphany on Jan 6. It will be super good if you can witness this wonderful event.

Was very underwhelmed by Berat.
Was very underwhelmed by Berat. One big building site and litter everywhere. View is alright but nothing special. Not much to do. Very quiet in March but traffic already tough so wouldn’t want to be there in summer. Only playground in the village was extremely dirty and many things were broken.

This hotel has a large terrace where we had an incredible breakfast. Lemons and tangerines grow in the yard. We came from Siberia and it was a real shock for us! The staff were very friendly and caring. Unfortunately we only stayed there for one night.
