Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Pearl's Homestay Matale is a recently renovated holiday home situated in Matale, 27 km from Kandy City Center Shopping Mall. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. When my driver edged up the narrow-inclined driveway of this very modern home, I didn’t know what to expect. But Pearle and her husband Ranjan greeted me with broad smiles and open arms. After they had retired, they built this sophisticated home on their family’s property. Since the terrain of Matale is mostly mountainous, their home is perched up high on a small hill, allowing a beautiful view of the city from their wide terrace. Communication was swift and efficient as their daughter fielded email questions from the UK. English was spoken perfectly by all members of the family, so no worries for any miscommunication. I had arrived in the late afternoon and Pearle offered me tea. Ranjan returned with some short eats and we sat around chatting. The conversation was easy and I felt like I was visiting good friends for the afternoon. My room was located just off their living room with an adjacent bathroom with contemporary fixtures – it felt like I was in a fancy hotel! The stylish room with extremely high ceilings was spacious and tastefully decorated with an enormous mosquito net tied with ribbons around the large four poster bed. There is a portable air conditioner/fan which was not really needed as the evenings are usually cool and temperate. Breakfast was a luxurious feast with red rice string hoppers, potato curry, dal, green gram and a delicious, spicy chicken curry. Watermelon, pineapple, and sweet juicy papaya from their garden rounded out the meal. After retirement, Pearle turned her interests to cooking and she is certainly an accomplished cook! My only regret was staying only one night and will certainly come back for a longer visit!

There is a restaurant serving Asian cuisine, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. To be honest this was an amazing place to spend the night in Knuckles . In my vist to Knuckles area (Riverston) I was struggled to find a good place to stay. But I was very fortunate to find accommodation here in Nature Villa. To be honest they provided the best customer service they could provide.(Special tanks to caretaker women Diviya) It's worth that to mention they have some delicious foods too.Thanks a lot Riverston Nature Villa and team for treating so well.I Highly recommend this place for accommodation to everyone who are planning to visit knuckles (Riverston)

The tents are very cozy, and everyone from the staff is absolutely great! We can highly recommend the place 🥰

Located within 50 km of Kandy City Center Shopping Mall in Matale, Gammaduwa Bungalow features accommodation with seating area. The property features garden and inner courtyard views. The guest house also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Stayed for 3 nights and this was our favourite place during our Sri Lanka trip. Homely feel and amazing food and service. Enjoyed the library and endless cups of excellent tea. Our room was comfortable and clean, lots of hot water. Wifi worked very well in the library area. Tea tasting was interesting and some nice walks in the area. Thanks to Dave and the staff for a memorable stay :)

Plantation Retreat is tucked away in Kandy, just 400 metres from Patanpaha Bus Stand. It welcomes guests with an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi access.

Free toiletries are offered. Sarath and his family are the most welcoming and amiable hosts we had on our journey in Sri Lanka. The lodging is on top of a hill and inside a plantation so you are all surrounded by beautiful nature. As part of the plantation Sarath and his family are growing their own coffee and spices from which Sarath's wife cooked a most delicious breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our stay at Plantation Retreat very much and will never forget the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We can very much recommend a stay here.

Located within 10 km from the foothills of Knuckles Mountain Range, the hotel is also 2 km to Panwila Bus Stand. Kandy Railway Station and the popular Temple Of The Tooth relics are both 25 km away. Highlight of my holidays, amazing staff and manager was so helpful. Beautiful gardens and tea factory. Excellent meals, it’s like going back in time. Wonderful.

The cosy guestrooms at Strathisla are cooled with a fan and fitted with wooden flooring. The en suite bathroom comes with a shower and free toiletries. We loved to stay at the strathisla guesthouse. The view is amazing, the garden with the pool perfect, the staff really friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the tasty food. Definitely a place we would come back.
