We were there in early July. It would have been better to go in August and let the water have a few more weeks to warm up. The water temperature was about 18 degrees when we were there, and that's a bit cold for me.
The town is lovely and the people are quite friendly. And we ate well at a couple of nice places.

Warnemunde is a very nice place with a lot of nice...
Warnemunde is a very nice place with a lot of nice restaurants and really cosy. During winter time its also very quiet and relaxed. Summertime and Easter there are much more people, but also very nice during the warm period of the year and nice beach.
Warnemunde is the perfect location if you want to visit the very nice Christmas Market in Rostock.

Warnemünde is a gorgeous small city.
Warnemünde is a gorgeous small city. It's relaxed and very clean. We found it perfect for visiting with our small children. There's a nice park, the beach, the Nivea indoor pool and the Warnefornien (LadenCafé), where they serve the yummiest coffee in town. (Actually, it's the only spot we found to serve high-quality and strong coffee, so skip the other cafés and go there right away ;-)...) We also visited Rostock Zoo which is beautiful.

Warnemunde is an attractive port on the Ost See.
Warnemunde is an attractive port on the Ost See. It has long wide, sandy beaches and seems to be very popular in summer. We stayed as we were departing on a cruise from the port. It is accessible by train from Rostock or Berlin etc. There are numerous cafes, restaurants, and shops for tourists to enjoy. It is a very pleasant little village to wander around.

Loved this little Fishing Village, a nice surprise.
Loved this little Fishing Village, a nice surprise. Centrally located, Beautiful boutique shops, lots dining. Gorgeous beach, quaint cottages. Walking distance to Cruise ship terminal and train station and to all attractions.
Good location, one block off the beach promenade and across the street from the Kurpark and the public underground parking garage. We booked a room facing the sea and had good views even though the hotel is not directly on the boardwalk. The windows opened to let the sea breeze in and the room felt bright and airy with a good layout and use of space. The breakfast buffet was very good for a small hotel and the staff was friendly.
Amazing location - it's just a minute walk to the dockfront, beach, or the various resteraunts on the front by the beach. The place was incredibly clean - hotel and rooms were spotless. Decor and facilities in the room were good, great matresses/pillows, etc, etc.
Hotel theme/decor was lovely as well, the dining room for breakfast especially.
Breakfast was amazing, staff/owner was very friendly and welcoming.
Our double-room was great - modern and comfortable! This was our second stay at the hotel, and we will definitely come again.
We enjoyed the hotel's breakfast, and also cooked for ourselves at the community kitchen a few times - a great convenience.
We rented bikes to get around the city and parked the car at the parkhouse just next to the hotel.
Superb location, right on the beach and a short walk into town. The apartment itself was great and very comfortable with all the necessary equipment. No problem leaving luggage at the hotel next door before and after check-in / out. Also very quiet with only the wind in the trees and the sound of the waves - no traffic noise :)
We loved that we could walk down to the beach in about 15 minutes from the hotel, plus the pool and sauna facilities were top notch. The pool is definitely a leisure pool so don't expect to do laps, but it's very clean and lovely to splash around in. We stayed in an apartment and found it very comfortable for two people.
The Hotel is located in front of the beach with an amazing view from the room.
The breakfast was very good with enough choice, a very ambient restaurant with a little play corner for kids. Perfect for families!
The spa area is amazing with a kids pool as well.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful!
Great location to stay in with kids and family holidays. Short walk to the beach, huge playground, kids activities, great indoor area. Also nice Spa and really good breakfast. The apartment was cosy and well equipped. Very nice staff.
Also the accompanying Hotel app is very useful.
The hotel is a great location and the room we stayed in was very big and modern. Way more modern and better than other hotels I've stayed at in Warnemünde. The bed is very comfy and the breakfast is nice. We asked for a water boiler for the room and got one no problem.
wonderful location, amazing breakfast, very nice staff. The pension is just next to the beach, everything can be explored in walking distance. The hotel has its own little indoor pool, which offers a nice variety away from the strong sun.
The hotel is in a very nice location, close to the train station and beside the river. It is within walking distance of the beach.
The view from my room was amazing. The sauna room was nice and clean. The bed was comfy.
The hotel was luxurious with impeccable rooms. There was a very large selection of dishes at breakfast.
The hotel is some way from Rostock but ideally placed for mariners and visitors for the coast and Varnemünde.
Very nice apartment. We immediately felt at home. Modern and functional furnishings, but also beautifully designed. The apartment is located just outside Warnemünde. But you can walk to the center in 10 minutes.
