The only positive side was the location, in walking distance of the old town. There was a thunderstorm while we were there and the roof was leaking. The price of the bar is way above the average price in Tangier. They sold a 3 Derham-bottle of water for 30 Derham. Actually you have to pay London prices or more if you want to buy anything from the bar or the restaurant.

Tangier is often described as the face of Morocco and is a city full of mystery and natural beauty. Its close proximity to the foot of Europe makes it a popular stopover and day trip for cruise boat travellers and tourists visiting Spain.
If you’re planning a day of sightseeing ensure to visit the Musée d'Art Contemporain de la Ville de Tanger, The Kasbah Museum, Grand Socco, and the lively souks, which are filled with a variety of spices, foods and fashion.
Tangier has a vibrant nightlife and a cosmopolitan and cultural vibe. The vibe is reflected in the cafés, bars and restaurants located across the beachfront and along the narrow streets lining The Kasbah, Mercado and Medina.
Hercules Cave is located 14 km from the city centre and is ideal for a day trip, afterwards you can enjoy some of the best coastal views Tangier has to offer with a visit to the Mnar Park aquatic park.
Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport offers direct flights to major cities such as Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Amsterdam. Booking.com offers a range of accommodation throughout Morocco.
I loved Tangiers. It helped that I booked the perfect hotel for me. The hallways, gathering areas, and reception had lots of old-world charm. The desk staff were very kind. The location also was perfect for me. I enjoyed visiting the municipal beach. Who knew beaches could include horses and camels? I ate at local restaurants, and the food was good, and the staff was attentive. Best of all, I enjoyed watching the people go by and the sunset at night. Just chillin'.
Tangier American Legation is 5 minutes from the hotel and is a wonderful museum about the Tangier/American relationship. The laundry and hammam are a block away. The Medina and the ferry to Tarafa are very close. I took a day trip to Chefchoua, the Blue City. I took the Red Bus, but it is also possible to take a taxi around the city for $20.

Tangier is off the beaten path for tourists.
Tangier is off the beaten path for tourists. The old section was busy and the vendors are willing to bargain. It still has an older airport but for the little town they were adequate. The hotel arranged for a larger taxi and the drivers were fluent in French but not so much English. It was a laid back time with no one begging. The city had plain clothed police in the tourist areas but it was kind of cute because they were in plain clothes but had a red arm band stating they were police.

We traveled during Ramadam (on a budget) so most cafes were closed during the day, except those in heavy tourist areas, but this meant less tourists, so all in all a positive experience. The water was turned off in the Medina on two of the four mornings we were there, so I would recommend staying outside the Medina but close to it. Small dars and riads have steep stairs and no elevators so not a great option for everyone, but they have the most charm and hospitality. The Kasbah area is very nice with beautiful views.

Tangier has a special place in my heart!
Tangier has a special place in my heart! I've made so much realisations here. Indeed, a beautiful and warm place with such hospitality can help those people struggling with their mental health to realign their aspirations in life and eventually open themselves up to the rest of the world. I might not have been to a lot of places in Tangier due to short stay, the tranquility of this place helped me a lot more than any of my stay elsewhere. This is not just a holiday for me, it was a precious set of memories amongst a sea of negativities I am facing everyday that I will hold on to, to reach a better place not just for myself, though it seems like a selfish way of indulgence in the eyes of many which they would never understand.
Thank you
The breakfast was the best I had in Morocco, replete with a resident tortoise which saunters around surprising me as I ate. The upper terraces had fantastic views of the harbour and the medina. The rooms and whole dar have an 1930s - 1950s feel of Tangier from a racier era. African themed prints, art, b&w photos, high ceilings, old mivie posters add to the ambience.
The rooms are good sized with separate sleeping and sitting areas. The location is in the Kasbah near the museum of Mediterranean cultures and the petit and grand solos.
This hotel is hidden pearl, perfect for relaxation after walking in Tangier´s busy Medina.
The hospitality of the owners and the staff, always ready to make your stay even more comfortable, made our stay unforgettable.
We were family of 8 and all of us were amazed with the place. The breakfast was superb and the lady cook fantastic! We had a dinner on the terrace and the lamb Tajin was fabulous.
Thank you for making our family holidays precious.
Very welcoming and friendly staff. Rashid was extremely helpful and happy to share his knowledge and expertise about the city, make phone calls for us and book transfers to the airport. Excellent location for exploring the medina and new town. There was the option of a sheltered or open terrace to sit and relax. Continental breakfast was buffet style and eat as much as you like. Great value for money when compared to bigger hotels in Tangier.
Dar Yasmine is in the Medina, the old market quarter of Tangier. It is across an alley from the Big Mosque. It is a charming place maybe dating back to the colonial era. There is no elevator and breakfast is served in a rooftop dining room 5 floors up with a view of the waterfront and of Spain in the distance. The small lobby is lovely and really conveys the feel of colonial-era Morocco.
Super nice hotel!
Great location in the center of the Medina. Great service, and friendly staffs . Abdellah was so friendly and helpful and answered all my questions and gave me a list of places to visit while I was in Tangier. Great guy! Overall, everything was nice and very comfortable. I would surely choose it again next time I visit Tangier. I Would definitely recommend hotel Maram.
The property have a nice location, easy to find, very close to de Medina but fairly quiet that was amazing, The house has a very cozy modern Moroccan style that makes you really feel the experience of being in Morocco, the view from the roof is spectacular, we enjoyed it a lot, my family and I are very happy and grateful, Thanks so much! definitely I recommend this place to stay
The host welcomed us to Morocco and Tangier with grace and hospitality. She had a great taxi driver meet us airport and made great restaurant recommendations. (We really liked Chez Hassan!). The location on edge of Kasbah is perfect, and Tangier has some real character and a fascinating history to explore. The rooftop terrace breakfast was excellent!
Was such a lovely place to stay and provided a lovely place of calm yet so close to the city/medina/beach. It was great for our family as it has a lovely central courtyard with space to chill. Our room was huge (family room) !mand comfortable. Unlike most hotels in the area it is not high rise and has charming character.
The hotel was well located in general (in between the port and the Medina), there was a nightclub nearby and several places to eat. The staff was very nice and helped us with everything. The best of the place was the view, right close to our bedroom there was a lovely terrace with a great view of the marina.
The room was big enough for the 4 of us(2 Adults and 2 Kids). The location was fabulous and very close to Medina yet away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel!
Having a spa at the hotel was a plus as well for a quick short massage!
This place is amazing! it is a beautiful old house right next to the Medina in the Kasbah of Tangier. it has a rooftop with the best view where the breakfast is served. Marie the owner is super helpful and gives lots of good recommendations. we will definitely be back!
hotel is sooo beautiful and elegant, breakfast is Amazing, staffs are very helpful, location is inside the medina but not hard to find(very close to bab kasbah)
very comfortable stay here and probably my favorite hotel i stayed in Morocco
These were the best beds we slept on during our whole stay in Morocco. Great location in the Medina, very helpful staff. I slept through the call to prayer but my friend did not. Small but comfy and super cute, i would stay here again.
Good location was in Medina, near by beach .Breakfast was incredible and clearly everywhere. This hotel has got natural climate and high ceilings.Personel was helpfull along my daughter's stomach sick.We are apreciate everything.
The hotel is in a fantastic location and has the most beautiful views in the morning, from the terrace - across the sea and also up into the medina. The hotel management and staff were very polite, courteous and helpful.
The location is great, 5 minutes walk to Medina, 8 Minutes walk to Marina Bay. It’s a new hotel, still interior work is going on. Mattress are very nice and firm as everything is new.
